Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel
Overlooking the marina in the quiet town of Santa Eulalia on the south-eastern part of the island, Aguas de Ibiza is one of the most environmentally conscious and sustainable hotels in Ibiza, mixing innovative water- and energy-saving technology with bay-view rooms, a standout spa and a fantastic rooftop restaurant serving Peruvian specialities.
The hotel’s location, right on the marina, means many of the 145 light-filled rooms offer views of the bay. All have been arranged according to the principles of Feng Shui and offer private terraces, natural stone bathrooms and modern electronics like Bang & Olufsen televisions. Suites are bigger, with lounge areas, larger terraces and some truly stunning views.
There are two pools in the garden, plus an adults-only pool on the roof. And that’s before you get to the Revival Spa by Clarins, which includes treatment rooms, three different temperature-controlled pools, a hammam, sauna, steam room, 24-hour fitness centre and a hair and nail salon. The spa also runs detox programmes based on different combinations of organic juices, as well treatments to help with weight loss.
The latter, however, is not made easier by the excellent choice of restaurants. Alabastro is a chilled-out, all-day restaurant by the pool serving a Mediterranean menu of carpaccio, salads, fresh fish and more. Oligo offers a mouth-watering, help-yourself breakfast buffet. While high on the roof, promising chef Omar Malpartida brings Peruvian delicacies to the tables of Maymanta, with the Pisco Bar beside it serving cocktails and sours.
