Dining has always been an integral part of the luxury experience at Sandy Lane, and in November 2024, the resort unveiled an exciting new chapter with the opening of The Monkey Club.
The restaurant now occupies the space once home to L’Acajou, long known as one of the hotel’s signature dining rooms. After an extensive redesign, it has reopened with a different concept. The former fine-dining format has been replaced with a contemporary brasserie, creating a slightly more relaxed setting while still maintaining the elegance associated with Sandy Lane.
The mood is noticeably different from before, though. Guests still dress for dinner and the service remains attentive, but the atmosphere is more informal and sociable. Brasserie classics sit alongside seasonal dishes, with a menu that moves easily between lighter plates and more substantial options depending on the evening.
Guests familiar with L’Acajou will recognise the space, although it now feels very refreshed. For first-time visitors, The Monkey Club simply becomes another place to settle in for dinner during the stay.
“Reimagined as a contemporary brasserie, The Monkey Club brings a fresh sense of style, glamour and energy to Sandy Lane’s dining scene.”
